As Research Assistant, Ms. Butow provides research support for the activities of the Science Advisory Board. She also provides support to the Policy, Outreach and Community Programs at TURI. Prior to TURI, Ms. Butow worked in the biotechnology industry focusing on laboratory automation and compound management. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and Music from Lehigh University and is currently pursuing a Master's of Science degree in Occupational Epidemiology at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. She most recently worked with the Environmental Protection Agency’s Laboratory in Region 1 as an Environmental Health and Safety intern and is currently completing her Capstone work on Patterns of Mortality in New Hampshire by Industry and Occupation as an intern with the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services.
