As Research and Reference Specialist, Ms. Butow provides research support for the activities of the Science Advisory Board. She also manages the TURI library and provides research support to the Policy, Outreach and Community Programs at TURI as well as the campus community and other various stakeholders. Prior to TURI, Ms. Butow worked in the biotechnology industry focusing on laboratory automation and compound management. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and Music from Lehigh University and a Master of Science degree in Occupational Epidemiology from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. She most recently worked with the Environmental Protection Agency’s Laboratory in Region 1 as an Environmental Health and Safety intern and completed her Capstone work on Patterns of Mortality in New Hampshire by Industry and Occupation as an intern with the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services.
