Friday October 11 2013 - Commercial/Industrial Water Efficiency Opportunities

The Devens Eco-Efficiency Center will host a seminar on Commercial / Industrial Water Efficiency Opportunities

Location: 33 Andrews Parkway, Devens, MA

Date: Friday, October 11, 2013

Time: 8:00-9:30 AM

 Like oil in the 20th century, water promises to be the resource issue of the 21st century. This workshop will provide an overview of water issues and how water is used, and then drill down to address specific no- and low-cost ways commercial and industrial building owners and tenants can reduce their water use to conserve the resource and lower operating costs. The presentation will review:

  • Basic efficiency products, including ultra-high efficiency aerators, toilets and zero-flush urinals;
  •  Leading edge technologies, including chemical-free electronic water treatment systems for hot water, process applications, cooling towers, and evaporative condensers;
  •  Other cost-effective opportunities for process applications, irrigation efficiency and water re-use; and
  • Case studies highlighting companies that have taken action to initiate water efficiency measures and their results.

The session will be led by Dan Cook, who has over 30 years experience in the energy and water efficiency sector and is president of Conservation Solutions Corporation.

1.5 Resource Conservation credits are available for certified TUR Resource Conservation Planners.
