Thursday May 21 2009 - Demonstration of Innovative Water Conservation Process-CANCELLED

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SITE TOUR ON MAY 21, 2009 HAS BEEN CANCELLED. THE VISIT ON JUNE 2, 2009 IS STILL SCHEDULED

Join TURI on Thursday, May 21 or Tuesday, June 2 from 9:00 to 12:00 at Bristol-Myers Squibb's new facility (being constructed now) to learn more about the innovative solutions they have implemented to address several technical and regulatory challenges associated with their use of water during the construction of their new facility in Devens.

The start-up schedule for the overall project was not synchronized to allow utilization of the wastewater pretreatment plant during commissioning activities. As a result, BMS was looking at the possibility of having to ship over 3.8 million gallons of pipe and tank cleaning water off site at a cost of at least 50 cents per gallon!

Come to this three-hour site tour and discussion to learn more about how the BMS team addressed this problem, and how they were able to minimize the volume of wastewater generated, and the cost of managing the wastewater.

You will be eligible to receive 3 TUR credits for attending the event.
