The TUR Planner Certification Course covers all aspects of TUR planning, and is a valuable learning experience for anyone interested in reducing material waste, reducing toxics use, and improving operational efficiency in any industry. It will prepare you to take the MassDEP Certification Exam, which is required in order to become a General Practice TUR Planner. The course is also highly recommended for those intending to become Limited Practice TUR Planners, as well any for anyone interested in the topics presented, including those who may not go on to become Planners.  The course is open to anyone who is interested, including people from outside Massachusetts.

How to Enroll

You may register online, see below.  To register by mail, complete the application form and return it by the due date.  Make checks payable to "UMass Lowell" for the full amount of the course fee, which must be received prior to the first day of the on-line portion of the course. The registration will not be complete and the space will not be held until payment and registration forms are received. If courses are canceled due to low enrollments, or if courses are over-subscribed, applicants will be notified and any fees paid will be refunded. Applicants admitted for this course will receive information prior to the class start date with specific course information and directions to the facility.

Register early! Class size is limited and the course usually fills. Applicants are registered on a first come/first served basis with a completed registration.

Registration Fee: If your facility has ever filed a TURA Form S, your fee is $630.00. MassDEP Facility I.D.# (required for the lower rate). If your facility has not filed a TURA Form S, your fee is $2,000.00. Registration fee includes materials, lunch, and breaks for each day.

Deadline: Registrations are due by August 30, 2016. Registration is first come/first served. A confirmation packet - including login information for the on-line portion and directions to the training facility for the class - will be mailed to you upon successful enrollment.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be received by August 30, 2016 (3 business days) before the first day of class. Cancellations received by August 30, 2016 will receive a credit that may be used for a future TURI-sponsored event. There will be no credit for cancellations received less than 3 business days prior to the start of the course.
