You are cordially invited to a workshop sponsored by MassDEP on Pharmaceuticals, Personal Care Products (PPCPs) and Endocrine-Disrupting Compounds (EDCs) in Wastewater: Issues and Solutions on September 22, 2009 at the Federal Reserve Building in Boston.

The workshop will focus on the present status of our understanding of PPCPs with respect to groundwater discharges and wastewater re-use. You will hear from national experts on the success of large scale wastewater re-use projects elsewhere in the country, the fate and transport of these micro-constituents in the subsurface, an what data gaps exist.

This workshop provides a forum for a continuing dialogue with stakeholders from industry, government, research, academia, and others on the issue of PPCPs and EDCs in watewater, including treatment plant effluent used for recharge, and soil adsorption systems in unsewered areas.
