Academic Research Grant RFP
The Toxics Use Reduction Institute (TURI) is requesting proposals up to $25K each from UMass faculty for grant projects that research safer alternatives to toxic chemicals. The deadline for proposals is July 17, 2013. The TURI Academic Research Program provides support for academic researchers and students to investigate new technologies, chemistries, processes and techniques that support a sustainable economy. Faculty from all five UMass campuses are eligible for this research funding. Collaboration between campuses and, in particular, with industry is encouraged. Past projects have helped industry adopt new technologies, have led to new patents and contributed to TURI's goals of protecting workers and the environment by reducing the use of toxic chemicals.
