Apply for a Community Grant
Each year, TURI invites proposals from community organizations, municipal departments, small businesses, trade associations, and regional and state-wide organizations or collaborative groups that raise awareness and educate people about safer alternatives to toxic chemicals.
What TURI Funds
The Toxics Use Reduction Institute awards grants to community organizations, municipal departments and small businesses to encourage people to switch to safer alternatives or methods. We fund trainings, workshops, material development and the purchase of safer products.
Find out what this year's grantees are doing to make the Commonwealth a safer place to live and work. Grant recipients include La Chic Mentoring Plus, Inc., Full Circle Greenhouse and Farm, Franklin Regional Council of Governments, Barnstable County Cape Cod Cooperative Extension and Jamaica Plain New Economy Transition. Read the press release for more details.
Visit our Library of Past Projects page to read about all TURI-funded projects that have made a difference to public health and the environment in Massachusetts. We encourage grant recipients to replicate and build upon past projects. So check out the many projects about green cleaning, organic lawn care and more to develop your ideas for funding.
