Continuing Education

Once certified, Toxics Use Reduction Planners are required to accumulate sufficient continuing education credits to demonstrate current knowledge of technical and managerial tools and innovations for reducing the use of toxics.

Our next conference is April 9, 2024.

TURI presents continuing education conferences in the spring (typically mid-April) and virtually in the fall (typically in early November) of each year, providing ample opportunity for Planners to obtain appropriate credits.

The content of our conferences varies from event to event and typically focuses on topics related to safer alternatives to toxic substances, relevant chemicals policies, chemical hazards, pollution prevention, resource conservation and drivers for change. Our spring conferences include keynote presentations designed to challenge our audiences understanding of the opportunities to create safer workplaces and products. In the virtual fall conferences we invite speakers from across the US and the world to share about technical innovations, science and drivers for change impacting the global market.
