WEEE and RoHS Implementation Issues - Joint Supply Chain Meeting

You are invited to attend an upcoming Joint Supply Chain Workshop offered by the Massachusetts Toxics Use Reduction Institute (TURI) and hosted by Bose Corporation. This full day workshop continues the efforts of TURI to keep Massachusetts industry on the leading edge of global policy and technological changes. Our intent to delve into the issues associated with implementation of requirements of the European Union directives known as the Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) as the compliance deadline (July 1, 2006) fast approaches.

Topics and speakers include:

  • European Union Guidance on Handling Exemptions, Robert Donkers, Environment Counselor for the Delegation of the European Commission to the United States

This workshop is designed to be highly interactive, so come prepared with your specific questions and concerns about WEEE and RoHS compliance and implementation. Ample time will be provided for questions and answers after each presentation. You will also have the opportunity to test handheld XRF analytical equipment on your (and your suppliers’) products during the breaks.

Parking Restrictions at Bose Corporation Visitor parking is limited next to the Corporate Center at the top of Mountain Road. Please park at the 1 New York Avenue Plant located to the left California Avenue. A Bose shuttle will bring you to the Corporate Center and can be accessed from the front of the 1 New York Avenue building or at the kiosk at the rear of the parking lot.
Food and Beverage Policy Food and beverages may only be consumed in the Café area on the first floor of the Corporate Center. Water may be consumed throughout the facilities. We appreciate your observing our policies during your visit.
