A: TCE Substitutions
The TURI Laboratory will discuss options for those companies using TCE (now a higher hazard chemical) for cleaning applications. The results of projects attempting to replace TCE in cleaning applications will be discussed and case studies presented on how the lab provides technical assistance in the lab and on site.
B: Incentives for Energy Conservation - CLOSED
This session will provide information for companies on the variety of incentives available for energy resource conservation. Speakers from utilities will discuss their efforts in the area of energy conservation

C: Current and Future Higher Hazard Chemicals in Surface Finishing
Surface finishing companies use a variety of listed chemicals. This session will discuss those currently listed, as well as those under consideration for addition to the higher hazard list, and will report on existing alternatives.
D: Water Conservation: Saving Water, Money, and Reducing Toxics-CLOSED
Conserving water not only saves money directly by reducing water consumption, but it also saves money in energy costs, chemical costs, and reduces the use of listed treatment chemicals. This session will offer case studies of companies that have reduced their use of water in their facilities.

Download and fill out the registration form and return it with a check made out to UMass Lowell to the Toxics Use Reduction Institute by November 10, 2008. The registration will not be complete and the space will not be held until payment and the registration form are received. Seating is limited. We will confirm session selections with your conference confirmation. Attendance will be tracked to ensure that planners receive a certificate of completion for sessions attended.

Fees:
The registration fees include conference materials, a continental breakfast, lunch and breaks. The full day fee for TURA filers is $225.00, non-TURA filers fee is $250.00. The fee for half a day is $120.00 and includes lunch.
Registration Deadline:
Registration may be faxed or mailed but must be received by November 10, 2008. The registration will not be complete and the space will not be held until payment and the registration form are received.
Cancellations:
Cancellations must be received 5 business days before the event (November 12, 2008). Cancellations received 5 days before the event will receive a credit for the registration fee that may be used for a future event. There will be no credit given for cancellations less than 5 days before the event.
