CLEANER TECHNOLOGIES DEMONSTRATION SITE (CTDS) PROGRAM
FISCAL YEAR 2009 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
The Toxics Use Reduction Institute (TURI) and the Office of Technical Assistance and Technology are jointly issuing this Request for Proposals for the Cleaner Technologies Demonstration Site (CTDS) Program, to promote the adoption of innovative technologies and methods by Massachusetts companies in order to improve their environmental and economic performance. This year we are providing matching grants for the following opportunities:
- Tier I: $4,000 matching grant opportunities for companies to share successful activities expected to be of general interest and have wide applicability. The FY 2009 focus areas relate to sustainable practices, with an emphasis on water conservation practices and green chemistry application in the R&D laboratory.
- Tier II: $2,000 matching grant opportunities to share successes that might be of interest to smaller, discrete populations. In FY 2009 the focus will be on companies that have converted from the use of trichloroethylene (TCE) cleaning/degreasing to a less or non-toxic alternative; companies that have reduced or substituted for cadmium or cadmium compounds in metal finishing or electroplating, and companies that have reduced the use or generation of persistent, bioaccumulative toxins (PBTs).
Proposals are due November 7, 2008.
