TUR Planning for EMS Professionals
February 13, 2008 and February 20, 2008; two day training in Norwood, MA
(16 credits) Both days are required
This course is designed to give EMS Professionals the knowledge they need to certify that a company’s TURA EMS satisfies the requirements of the Act. The first day will familiarize the participants with the basics of TUR planning methods and technologies. The course will then focus on identifying the specific requirements of the TURA EMS and consider examples of the kind of source reduction policy and initiatives that should be incorporated into the TURA EMS. Small group activities will give participants an opportunity to evaluate TURA EMS examples to determine whether or not they should be certified as conforming to the requirements of the Act. Participants will be asked to complete homework assignments between course dates as an integral part of the completion of this class.

Fill out and return the registration form with your check made out to UMass Lowell to the Toxics Use Reduction Institute by January 10, 2008. The registration will not be complete and the space will not be held until payment and the registration form are received. Seating is limited. Attendance will be tracked to assure that planners receive a certificate of completion for workshop attended.

Fees:
TUR Planning for Environmental Management Systems for Professionals (both days) fee is $350.00 for TURA filers and $375.00 for Non-TURA filers
The registration fees include workshop materials, lunch and breaks.
Registration Deadline:
Registrations for EMS Professionals may be faxed or mailed but must be received by January 10, 2008. The registration will not be complete and the space will not be held until payment and the registration form are received.
Cancellations:
Cancellations must be received 5 business days before the event. February 13, 2008 (and February 20th) must be received by February 5, 2008. Cancellations received 5 days before the event will receive a credit for the registration fee that may be used for a future event. There will be no credit given for cancellations less then 5 days before the event.
