Environmental Accounting
Environmental Accounting is a broad term that is used in several different contexts, such as management accounting, financial accounting, and national accounting.
The Institute trains TUR Planners to consider the total cost of using materials, including purchase, training required, permit costs, risk, disposal and potential market concerns or opportunities.
The US Environmental Protection Agency, in partnership with the Tellus Institute has created a valuable, international Environmental Management Accounting website that offers guidance and spreadsheet tools for Environmental Accounting especially for internal organizational decisions.
