Green Chemistry for the Biotech and High Tech Industries: What's it all About

TURI has presented a series of evening seminars addressing how green chemistry can positively impact the biotechnology and high technology industries. This seminar series is designed to explore this issue with the goal of working together to promote the implementation of green chemistry in the biotech and high tech industries.Topics covered include:
► What the principals of green chemistry are
► The difference between green chemistry and traditional chemistry
► What additional knowledge chemists and researchers need in order to implement green chemistry in their laboratories
► The business benefits of green chemistry
► How implementing green chemistry can affect your bottom line


This series wsa presented in collaboration with Dr. John C. Warner, a professor at UMass Lowell and Director of UML’s Center for Green Chemistry. Dr. Warner co-authored the seminal text Green Chemistry: Theory and Practice and is a leader in the field of green chemistry research and education. Dr. Warner was recently featured in a USA Today article about how the increased adherence to green chemistry principles in US industry is having a positive impact on profits.
