Oven Cleaners

Baking soda, water, salt, vegetable oil based liquid soap (Murphy’s)

Sprinkle water on oven bottom and add baking soda. Let sit over night. Wipe off and apply liquid soap and scrub and rinse.

2 tablespoons vegetable oil soap (Murphy's oil) and 2 tablespoons borax in a spray bottle with warm water

Spray on oven and leave for 20 minutes and scrub off

Refrigerators

Dissolve 2 tablespoons baking soda in 1 quart warm water

Exterior and interior - wipe all surfaces

Baking soda and water paste

For stubborn areas

Microwave

Microwave a bowl of water on high for 5 minutes

Steam will loosen stuck on food and you will be able to wipe it clean

Pots & Pans

Add baking soda to water during soaking

General pots - while food encrusted pots and pans let soak and then scrub

Water and vinegar mixture

Soak in for 15 minutes or over night and rinse

Coarse salt and lemon

Copper pan cleaner - rub coarse salt into any stains with the cut half of a fresh lemon

Solution of baking soda and tepid/cool water (1 teaspoon to a quart of water)

Glasses, coffee makers and thermos bottles - brush glasses, coffee maker carafe or thermos with the solution on a soft toothbrush

Ice and used lemon and or orange rinds

Grind to eliminate odors and to clean and sharpen blades

1 cup vinegar, ¼ cup washing soda, 1 tablespoon vegetable oil based soap (Murphy's, castile), 2gallon hot water

For greasy no wax floors combine all ingredients and stir to dissolve washing soda. Mop as usual

Vinegar

Put out a small bowl of vinegar any where in the house that needs freshening. It will absorb the odors and leave the house smelling fresh
