Ms. Clark is Senior Associate Director of the Toxics Use Reduction Institute, an affiliate of the Lowell Center for Sustainable Production at the University of Massachusetts Lowell (UML). She is responsible for strategies and programs that support technology diffusion of innovative methods and technologies. Ms Clark manages the knowledge and outreach staff of the Institute responsible for the library, website, intranet, media and newsletters. She organized the recent symposium and conference on Twenty Years of Toxics Use Reduction in Massachusetts, and is currently editing a special issue of the Journal of Cleaner Production. Her expertise includes sustainability, ecology, management systems, toxics in production and products,and safer alternatives assessment.
A lead trainer, facilitator and coach of workshops and conferences, she also has proven skills in group dynamics for efficient and productive working teams, peer networks and stakeholder programs. She has a B.A in Biology and an M.A. in Environmental Planning from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and is a certified Toxics Use Reduction Planner. Ms. Clark received EMS Lead Auditor training from the EXCEL Partnership and is on the staff of the Environment Management Systems Consortium at UML.
