1997 Program Evaluation

In 1997 the Institute conducted an evaluation of the Massachusetts TURA program. The elements of the program evaluation included:

a survey of TUR filers' experience
a validation and analysis of toxics use and release data
an analysis of costs and benefits attributable to TURA
an in-depth investigation of the effectiveness of toxics use reduction under TURA at 25 Massachusetts firms, and the TURA agencies' success in fulfilling their mandates under the Act.
