As Policy Analyst at TURI, Rachel Massey evaluates the effectiveness of the TURA program, analyzes the impacts of chemical policy changes on Massachusetts businesses and communities, and applies the lessons of the TURA program to chemicals policy development nationally and internationally. She is currently conducting policy analyses for the proposed designation of higher hazard substances as mandated under the 2006 TURA amendments. She is also involved in TURI's work to reduce toxics at the community level, including toxics use reduction for small businesses. Before joining TURI, Ms. Massey worked as a researcher at the Global Development and Environment Institute at Tufts University, where she helped to build a program in Economics for Health and the Environment. She holds a Master's degree in Public Affairs from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School and a Master of Science in Environmental Change and Management from Oxford University.
