Beyond the Safety Data Sheet Training

Solvents, cleaners, catalysts, and other chemicals can contribute to cancer, asthma, neurological disease, birth defects, and other health problems. But safer alternatives often exist. This free, 3 hour, informal, interactive workshop presented by TURI staff members Pam Eliason and Andrea Lynch will give you a hands-on opportunity to use online databases and other tools that will help you choose the safest chemical alternatives.

After the training and lunch, you’ll tour the manufacturing operation of CD Aero, a leading manufacturer of high reliability film capacitors for industrial, medical and specialty applications serving original equipment manufacturers and distributors worldwide.

Prerequisites:

• Sign-in upon arrival
• ID required
• Closed toe shoes, no high heels
• Bring your own laptop
