Background:

For several years, I worked in manufacturing industries in the areas of quality management, food safety, occupational health and safety, and environmental management.

Presently, I am a student in the Master of Science in Occupational and Environmental Hygiene (OEH) program at UMass Lowell. OEH deals with recognizing, evaluating, controlling and preventing chemical, biological, physical and psychosocial hazards in the work environment, so as to prevent injury and illness in the work place.

My exposure at the TURI Lab is affording me the opportunity to apply my knowledge as a chemist, as well as consolidating the theoretical knowledge being derived from the OEH program in a practical setting.

After graduation, I plan to engage in technical consultancy work, with a focus on integrated management systems.
