Lean Manufacturing at Food and Beverage Facilities, 2021

This report describes the projects of six companies that took the course "Lean Manufacturing and Pollution Prevention in the Food and Beverage Sector" in Spring 2021. The goal of the course was to help food and beverage manufacturers identify, adopt and measure the results of pollution prevention as a result of changes in processes, equipment and human behavior. The companies in the report include Cedar's Mediterranean Foods, Inc., Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast, Kettle Cuisine, True North Ale Company, Bisousweet Confections and Plenus Group Inc. The course and report were funded by a grant from a Region 1 EPA Healthy Communities Program.
