Preparing Facilities and Communities for Severe Weather

Heat waves, flooding, intense storms, power outages and other climate change weather events pose a significant threat to communities where large toxic chemical users reside when critical infrastructure and services fail or are damaged. The Office of Technical Assistance and Technology (OTA) prepared this webinar in collaboration with Taunton Emergency Management. In this webinar are a demonstration of an online mapping tool to identify toxics users in relation to vulnerability factors like flood, hurricane, and environmental justice zones and a discussion of the importance of building community partnerships for emergency preparedness.
