King and Queen Cleaners

With the help of a grant from TURI, King and Queen Cleaners in Milford made the switch from using perc - a probably human carcinogen - to professional wet cleaning.

The owner received the “Small Business Champion of Toxics Use Reduction” award at TURI's annual recognition event at the Massachusetts State House in June 2012.

In spring 2012 the owner demonstrated the technology to more than 30 dry cleaners in Massachusetts to encourage them to switch to the water-based system.
