Flame retardants in child gyms and other play spaces. TURI is working to enable a broader reduction in the use of toxic chemicals where children play. Of particular interest is supporting organizations that can help enable a broad transition to foam cubes and padding free of toxic flame-retardants in gyms.

Identifying PFAS (also known as “forever chemicals”) in products used and sold in Massachusetts.
This grant will support non-profit organizations, small businesses and municipalities by testing for the presence of PFAS substances and providing information about safer alternatives where needed.
