Meet your instructor: Liz Harriman

Liz Harriman recently retired as TURI’s Deputy Director. She has more than 30 years’ experience at TURI, including management of TURI’s operations and technical functions, working with the other Massachusetts Toxics Use Reduction Act (TURA) agencies to set direction for the program, and taking various deeper dives into technical issues such as PFAS, flame retardants and alternatives assessment.

Ms. Harriman is a registered Professional Engineer (Civil/Structural) and holds B.S. and M.Eng. degrees from Cornell University and an M.S. in Civil Engineering focused on Hazardous Materials from Tufts University.  In addition to her work at TURI, she has served as an adjunct lecturer at Tufts University and Merrimack College.
