Public Hearing on Revisions to TURA Toxic or Hazardous Substance List
Jul 25, 2025Notice is hereby given that the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, under its authority pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 21I, Sections 4, 9 in conformance with M.G.L. 30A, will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to 301 CMR 41.00 Toxic or Hazardous Substance List. These regulations implement changes to the list of chemicals made by the Administrative Council on Toxics Use Reduction, pursuant to the statutory amendments to the Toxics Use Reduction Act (TURA, Chapter 21I) made in 2006. Please note that this meeting is being conducted remotely.

Representatives from the Operational Services Division’s Strategic Sourcing Unit discusses resources offered through the Massachusetts/Commonwealth’s Environmentally Preferable Products (EPP) Procurement Programs and the new FAC118 Statewide Contract for Environmentally Preferable Cleaning Products, Programs, Equipment and Supplies.

Morgan Advanced Materials Demonstration Webinar
Sep 11, 2020Morgan Advanced Materials of New Bedford, a manufacturer of ceramic feedthroughs for medical and aerospace industries, eliminated the use of TCE used in a vapor degreaser. The company received a grant to purchase a water-based cleaning system and used TURI lab services to test the effectiveness of various solutions to remove wax from parts. This one-hour online demonstration that took place on September 10, 2020, includes information about their decision-making process, return on investment (with and without the TURI grant) and expected improvements in health and safety and regulatory obligations.
