Webinar: Using Artificial Intelligence to Support Toxics Use Reduction
December 9, 2025
Date: December 9, 2025
Time: 10:00 – 11:30 AM ET
Location: Online (Zoom)
Artificial intelligence (AI) is all we seem to hear about these days. What is AI and how might we use this powerful tool to help identify and assess safer alternatives to the use of toxic chemicals? In this 90-minute webinar we’ll hear about on-going research and discuss how companies might use machine learning tools and techniques to identify and evaluate TUR opportunities. We will be joined by Charlie Vallely from SmarterX, who will present on using AI for safety data sheet parsing, and Jakub Kostal from GW University who will discuss his work integrating AI and physics-led modeling into hazard assessment and novel chemical design.
This webinar has been pre-approved by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection for 3 TUR Planner CEUs. Planners must satisfactorily attend the webinar and complete a post-webinar survey to be eligible for credits.
