Please read the MassDEP Environmental Management System Planning Guidance.

After reading the guidance, please respond with three questions the guidance raised for you.

Next, please familiarize yourself with the basics of an environmental management system (EMS) using the EPA resources. Note that this course focuses on how facilities can integrate toxics use reduction planning into their existing EMS, and is not intended to be a comprehensive training on how to create an EMS.

After reading, please summarize what an EMS is and summarize what occurs in the Plan, Do, Check and Act phases of an EMS.
