Pam Eliason is the Senior Associate Director at the Toxics Use Reduction Institute at UMass Lowell. She assesses and promotes the adoption of safer alternatives to toxic chemicals used in Massachusetts and around the world, and disseminating information on examples of successful implementation of cleaner technologies in industry. As an Authorized GreenScreen® Practitioner, she uses this information to guide the identification of safer chemical alternatives for academic research, industry choices and policy applications. She was an invited instructor of the University of Washington’s Green Chemistry and Chemical Stewardship Certificate Program, teaching about Assessment Tools for Safer Chemical Decisions. In July 2017, Pam has been managing the Institute’s training program, in which she disseminates the tools, techniques and benefits of toxics use reduction planning to companies in Massachusetts and beyond.
