RoHS and REACH Workshop
Special Focus on the Wire & Cable and Medical Devices Industries
When: Wednesday, September 25, 2013 - 9:00am-4:00pm
Where: Sturbridge Host Hotel & Conference Center, Sturbridge, MA
Compliance with regulations on toxic substances in products continues to be a major challenge for the electrical and electronic products industries. The key regulatory drivers - the European Union's Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and its Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, and Authorization of Chemicals (REACH) - continue to evolve. RoHS has been "recast" as RoHS 2, which brings new classes of electronic products into its scope, along with new requirements for documentation and labeling, a changed approach to exemptions, and the possibility of new substances for restriction. The broader scope of REACH adds more chemicals for consideration within the electrical and electronics products industries.
This workshop will bring you up to date on the latest changes in both RoHS and REACH, and will include afternoon breakout sessions on the specific issues facing the Wire & Cable and Medical Devices industries.
